How do I nominate?
To nominate someone special for the Backbone of the Bush Award you will be asked to provide basic contact information for the nominated person and a brief description of how that person has:
Contributed to the local community
Achieved on a personal and/or professional level
Supported their doctor spouse/partner
You can nominate a rural medical spouse/partner through completing the application form via the link below.
Nominations Open: 9:00am (AEST) Monday 1 February, 2021
Nominations Close: 4:00pm (AEST) Wednesday 31 March, 2021

When is the award presented?
The Backbone of the Bush Award will be presented at the 2021 Rural Doctors Association of Queensland Conference on the Gold Coast on Saturday 26 June at the David Horn Memorial Dinner.
