We support Queensland rural medical families.
The Queensland Rural Medical Family Network (QRMFN) was formed to recognise, empower and support rural medical spouses, partners and families. In doing so, we also strive to support the doctors in rural and remote practice and training throughout Queensland.
QRMFN and its services are designed to enhance the lives of medical families in rural communities. QRMFN recognises that a doctor’s family plays a crucial role in his or her decision to take up and remain in rural practice.
The Family Network provides the following opportunities for rural medical families:
- Orientation Information and Assistance
- Regional Networking Event Funding
- 'Backbone' E-Newsletter
- Bush Buddies Kids Club
- Volunteer Representative Network
Whether you’re new to Queensland or have been here for many years, please take some time to browse our site and learn more about the many ways we can benefit each other through the sharing of information, ideas and common experiences. Doctors and their families who are new to rural and regional Queensland are strongly encouraged to contact the Family Network using the contact us button below. We look forward to networking with you!
